Water droplets

I’ve been busy.  This semester is shaping up to be brutal.  I blame the science.

Today, I spent a great deal of time trying to differentiate between unconformity, disconformity, angular unconformity, and nonconformity as they pertain to the calculation of geologic time.

I know, right.

I suffered a complete brain short.

So, I went outside.

Do you know what I found?

Water droplets.

Enjoy.

I did.

Distractions

I should have been writing.  I am a few hundreds words behind on today’s Camp NaNoWriMo word count quota.  But it was an extra hot day, and the plants on the patio needed to be watered.  Of course, with water comes dripping droplets that reflect the sun just so, and I was powerless to fight the urge that began to build within me.  I had no choice – no choice, I tell you – but to pull out the camera and waste an hour of valuable writing time taking pictures.

Morning Dew

I haven’t had the opportunity to get out and practice with my camera lately.  This morning, I had the itch to shoot something, anything.  My backyard was the logical place to start.  It was early enough that everything was still dripping wet with dew. I always like the effect water can have on an otherwise boring subject.

Enjoy.
